BharatNet Project to receive 19,041 crore as gap funding from Centre.

Centre’s ambitious BharatNet Project is part of digital India initiative that aims to connect all the gram panchayats of the country through optic fibre for providing efficient broadband services. The project will have two main components. The first will be that BharatNet will now extend up to all inhabited villages beyond the gram panchayats (GPs). Second, the revised strategy includes creation, upgradation, operation, maintenance and utilisation of BharatNet Broadband.  ಇದು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೆಲಿ-ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್, ಟೆಲಿ-ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್, ಇ-ಹೆಲ್ತ್, ಮತ್ತು ಇ-ಎಂಟರ್‌ಟೈನ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್‌ನಂತಹ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ 600 ದಶಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸೂಪರ್‌ಹೈವೇಗೆ ತರುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಾರತ್‌ನೆಟ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೈ-ಫೈ ಹಾಟ್‌ಸ್ಪಾಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಕೇರಳ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನ, ಹಿಮಾಚಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಪಂಜಾಬ್, ಹರಿಯಾಣ, ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳ, ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ, ಮೇಘಾಲಯ, ಮಣಿಪುರ, ಮಿಜೋರಾಂ, ತ್ರಿಪುರ, ನಾಗಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅರುಣಾಚಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ 19,041 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.

 

This will enable access at the primary level of village administration to digitally enabled services like tele-medicine, tele-education, e-health, and e-entertainment and will bring more 600 million people living in rural India on to the information superhighway. As part of BharatNet project, the Centre will also provide will be setting up Wi-Fi hotspots in all gram panchayats. The states to be covered in this plan are Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. The Centre has recently announced Rs 19,041 crore as gap funding for this project.
